  • Taryn Bankier - Founder

Taryn is deeply passionate about facilitating support and opportunities for people living with disabilities.

Taryn’s father is a wheelchair user and she credits her parents, family and friends for normalising her dad’s lifestyle and the supports that he received. Taryn believes all people deserve dignity when it comes to accessing support for the life they want to live.

Taryn has always led a life integrated with people of all different abilities. This experience has compelled her to create Tasmanian Support Collective; to be different and do better than the current trend of service delivery and service offerings.

Taryn holds a Bachelor of Education (Habilitation) from the Australian Catholic University and has a successful 28 year professional career in senior leadership and management roles in large disability service providers and start-up NDIS service providers in remote locations.

Taryn is on a mission to make the world fit for people with disabilities,
not changing people with disabilities to fit the world.
